The Paper industry has severely cut back on "colored" tissue of all types. Since Kleenex and toilet tissue are made of 95% post consumer waste paper that has been recycled and bleached, it was found to be cheaper to manufacture and produce plain white. The lack of consumer interest in colored paper is also partially responsible. It might look pretty but it's going places where pretty doesn't matter.....lol

A lot of dyes that used to be used in TP and kleenex have been found to be not very eco-friendly. So while it is still possible to occasionally find the papers with a bit of a print on them, the different colors are gone.

The chemicals and products used to make colored toilet paper and kleenex often transferred to your skin. In some cases people got SEVERE allergic reactions.

Yes I absolutely do remember it. My mother bought the pink because that was the color scheme in our bathroom. I hadn't thought of colored toilet paper in years! You get a star from me for asking a never seen before question.

Too many hazards with dyes they used to color the paper. Dyes getting into the body in sensitive areas such as eyes and ...well you know.... could cause a toxic reaction...so they quit doing it.
