If God has his hand in everything, surely we would be able to tangibly see it. And before you begin typing out that we only need to see the changed lives of those who are believers, remember that the followers of Zeus, Zoraster, Isis, Thor also felt a connection with their Gods and changed their lives according to "doctrine".

I believe this question to be not only fair, but essential to the advancement of human cognitive thinking. For those who assert extrordinary claims must have extraordinary evidence. It is NOT for the non-believer to prove the God hypothesis wrong because they assert nothing. That's like saying "prove there is NO yellow elephant on the sun." Should we assume it is true because we cannot prove it? Of course not.

The evidence that tells me God exists is the fundamental proposition of good and evil. These had to have been available before the first three quarks merged. Lawlessness is evil. Order is righteous. To conclude that God does not exist, should also include the ability to check your work and the steps necessary for others to duplicate your findings. I'm not talking just within the Christian scope, either. If God is real, it is real for all. That is why I feel a separation defines a being outside of our five senses. It had a choice in doing so. That choice was made before proteins gained instinct. If the definition is manipulated, evidence of suffering is immediate. Is the God I'm referring to Jesus? I believe so. Why isn't it another? Good question. I might answer that if you ask.

Sorry, "http://100prophecies.org/" really doesn't even stand up as coincidence, as the authorship of the gospels is debatable. I'm not trying to be closed minded, but given that the gospels are second hand recordings at best and that the prophecies are somewhat vague/open to interpretation, are not totally agreed on between the Jews and Christians, I'd say that "fulfilled prophecy" is shaky as evidence at the best.

That is not a fair question. I am an Atheist as well, but I don't think this question is fair. A Christian will be able to give you millions of reasons that god exists. They see his hand in everything that is, was, or will ever be. They will tell you with the upmost earnest how they feel him in their lives every moment of every day. This, to them, is all the proof they will ever need.
Obviously, to me and you, these answers are not sufficient. They leave more questions than they answer, and are plainly not scientific. Don't make someone proove THEIR point to YOUR satisfaction when it comes to matters of religion. I don't hear any of us Atheists arguing with Hindus about proving the existance of Ishnu. Why do we feel the same need to do this with Christians?

In return: What is your proof that he doesn't? I find it funny that non-believers always ask for proof when they can never provide any to defend their points, and they're usually not even asked by believers. And if you will say that science is perfect proof, think again. Their theories change constantly, actually they recently changed Earth's age. If you'll go for evolution, and that bones were found, believers never said that evolution didn't occur. It certainly has with the time we've been here, but we were indeed created by a Creator. Einstein said himself that the more he studied, the more he thought that there was a greater power behind all of this. Believers are constantly bombarded with questions asking for proof, and assumed to be brainwashed morons, which is in itself stupid.

And those god existed too. But as people changed, so did their beliefs in gods.
Myself, I think I'm going back to the old Norse ways. Can't be any worse. Sure may be better.

I cannot tell you how many times I have seen my prayers answered in ways that make it clear that God exists. There are several times, when an astounding number of "coincidences" have added up to where I would have had to be stupid to not see God's hand in them. Each time it was in direct answer to my prayers.
