I would expect you do put it on a cotton pad, but you might not have black heads. If they're all over you nostrils they might big pores, which look black if they are quite oily. Wash you're nose and face regularly, and with cold water, as this closes pores. But if you're going to use a facial wash, use warm or water first, or expose your skin to steam. This opens you're pores to let the cleanser in, then use cold water to wash it off.
Also, if you wear foundation this can make your skin more oily and you probably will get some black heads.
Sorry, his pic's kind of gross but you can see the difference between the black heads and the big pores, so you can see which ones you have.

Sounds like blackheads. Get a small wash towel, soak it in hot water and then put it on your nose. Put it back under hot water and back on your nose. Keep doing this for about five minutes. This will open your pores and make extraction Easier. Now, you have options. You can get Ponds strips to try and pull themout (doesn't always work), or get them out with you finger nails (my preferred method). You want to try and get under the blackhead, and push it out with both finger nails, but make sure that you are not cutting into your skin. They also make tools to help take out blackheads. I've never used any, but that's what they are designed for. Once you take them all out, you will have big gaping pores. Soak that same wash cloth in cold water, and put it over your nose. This will close up your pores again.
Note that blackheads do not pop. They need to be "excavated".

Ok, get a bowl of water steaming hot and put your head over it with a towel over your head to steam your face. This will open the pours. From there, use a cleanser to clean your face... it does sound like black heads and cleaning regularly is always a good way to keep your skin healthy.

lol everyone has that it's really hard to pop blackhead especially on the nose.. it hurts! try putting a hot wash cloth on your nose or try to get warm/hot steam to go to your face. They will be easier to pop cause of the heat. Good luck!

There's lots of things you can use for black heads, but the thing I think you bought is a face cleaner that pulls out the acne not get rid of them... but pulling them out helps because it clears them up and gets rid of them also. I use Clearasil ultra face wash and that keeps my skin clear it really works so you should try that also.

Get some Biore' strips. They remove black heads very well. You put them on your nose like they are tape, then pull them off after a few seconds.

Sounds like those are just enlarged pores. Try some pore minimizing scrub, and if that doesnt work go see your Dr. Im not even sure they black head stuff works becasue I used it forever and it never seemed to make a difference , but maybe thats just me.
