CNN seems to be pushing for him to win with articles on a daily basis. What do you think?

I'm not a big fan of Al Gore and this is why:

His cause celeb seems to be going around the world preaching about global warming. He talks about how we all need to change our ways and be more energy efficient, etc.

But he doesn't walk the walk. He has a HUGE green footprint. He owns more cars that we do, has a ginormous house that consumes ten times as much electricity as an average residence, and flies all over the world with entourage in tow.

When asked about his excessive power bills at his house he has explained it away as saying that it's okay because he buys "energy credits" to offset the effect of the extra electricity he uses.

In other words what he is saying is that the "normal" people should all make big changes in their lifestyles to save the planet, but rich people like him shouldn't be bothered with lifestyle changes but instead can just clear their conscience by purchasing energy credits.

This shows me that what he really wants is for OTHER people to save the planet so he can maintain his lavish lifestyle.

No thanks.

British Court Rules Al Gore Film Exaggerated Climate Claims
Thursday, October 11, 2007

Lewis Smith

Al Gore’s award-winning climate change documentary was littered with nine inconvenient untruths, a judge ruled yesterday.

An Inconvenient Truth won plaudits from the environmental lobby and an Oscar from the film industry but was found wanting when it was scrutinised in the High Court in London.

Justice Burton identified nine significant errors within the former presidential candidate’s documentary as he assessed whether it should be shown to school children. He agreed that Gore’s film was “broadly accurate” in its presentation of the causes and likely effects of climate change but said that some of the claims were wrong and had arisen in “the context of alarmism and exaggeration.”

I for one will toot a horn for Mr. Al Gore. I think he has done a wonderful job of opening American's eyes to global warming. Someone had to do it. He at least got a buzz going and a big buzz at that. He got a lot of celebrities involved who also can pull in a lot of their fans.
I am so sick of people bashing him for something positive the man did. Why bash him when he did nothing wrong. If you cannot understand the effects of global warming by now you apparently cannot add 1 + 1. It is October 11th and it is 88 degrees
The man cares more than most people. Give him that much credit. What have you done for global warming?
Who else in the USA deserves the Nobel Prize?
Now, before you bash me, please give me the right to freedom of speech as I do you.
Thank you.

I think CNN needs to stop sucking his d*ck and shut down. Most biased news network in the world. Fox News is pretty close, but CNN wins it. Al Gore is an idiot. He thinks he invented the internet and that he has the solution to global warming. He is nuts. Manbearpig is after you. I'm super cereal.

Nobel Prize for what? He has accomplished nothing. All he has done is opened some eyes to the possible cause of global warming.
That prize should be reserved for the man who cures the problem.

What did he do that would qualify him for the Prize? Make a movie of himself giving a lecture that is now proven to have at least eleven factual inaccuracies, some of them quite hairy?

No, he should not. Did you know that taking one flight from the US to Europe leaves a carbon footprint that is like 100x that if you owned and drove a car for one year.
