Welll it seems that my sweety has been doing some undercover investigation on his own.Shocked the heck out of me! he has chosen these rings as possible contenders:

http://www.avalondiamonds.com/catalog/detail?cid=733&pid=1779

with a diamond like this (Not this exact diamond)

http://www.uniondiamond.com/diamonds/diamonds.php?action_type_id=2&item_id=AA530222&network_id=bd41e7c32c408c633b3a15eabe32f208

The second ring he chose was:

With a one karat radiant cut diamond.

I'm having a hard time deciding. Need opinions please.

redhottx, my wedding and engagement were lost in a move from one house to another more then 3 years ago, i haven't worn a wedding ring since. I am NOT high maintenance. I was just shocked my hubby was looking.

burkee, I love the stone in the first ring. But hubby also suggested a diamond as well.

Very nice, I am so excited for you, ahhh, nothing like a new piece of jewelery especially a ring. I love the diamond and the second mount. I have a high post as well and I don't find that it snags on much, If you put on a knitted sweater yeah, but I can dig in my pockets and when I push my children tee shirts in their pants, I turn my rings. So No snagging here. Congradulations and Enjoy your new to be ring!

If he's into activities. attempt and verify around Ebay or someplace for some activities memorabillia. some thing autographed via his familiar activities individual. Tickets to despite he's into ( footy, basketball etc. ) combine the tickets with a effective hotel/weekend away. i'm particular he'd love that. purchase some new undies and you may the two relish an spectacular night of lovin` after the interest. may be great i think of.

If going by your avatar (from what can be seen) I'm guessing that's a stethoscope around your neck... so for that reason only I would suggest the flatter mount first ring. I too love the second ring, but would worry about the higher mount.

I like them both, but the first one I only like with the sapphire. Also, it looks more like a cool silver ring I'd buy for costume jewelry (I'm not picking on the ring, just that it looks a little more casual).

The 2nd ring seems more like something you'll enjoy for a lifetime.

The first ring looks better. I think the smoother looking design would be better for frequent use. The other one looks like it would easily catch on clothes and other things.

Platinum is a great metal to use. It does fairly easily get tarnished and scratched, however if you get it cleaned at the jewelers now and then it returns to a mirror like finish just like new.

I, too, think the first one looks like a man's ring. But I really like the second one! Very elegant!

I dont like the first one. To me it looks very much like a mans ring. But if you like it, then go for it.
Actually, I dont like either of them, they are definitely not my taste and if you have small or dainty hands they are going to look odd on you. Make sure you try them on and see which one (if any) complements your hands.
At the end of the day it is your choice, and your husbands.

the second one. the first looks almost like a mans wedding band, the second will have a raised stone that will give it the proper dimension, definitely the second.

ahem,,,,you see the point, the posters who liked the first were,,,,,men!!!!

pleaassssssssssssse tell me why people think other people who get diamonds are bad or spoiled or whatever!!! this is too funny, every question like this gets them crawling out from under their own diamond-less rocks., to denounce diamond rings, to my everlasting amusement.

I like the 1st one. I think it would look better with a gemstone than a diamond.

I like the second one the best. And go with the stone that you like.
