I have a ganglion cyst on my wrist and when it acts up and becomes larger, it can sometimes push on nerves causing a little or a lot of pain that radiates up my arm and through my thumb for several days. It will come and go at least twice per month. Maybe this could be similar to your problem?

I would have doubts it is a lipoma if
1. it causes pain
2. it forms another smaller bump on the wrist
Lipomas do not do that
It is most likely a ganglion cyst, but may be some other form of growth, though if it appears that rapidly it is most likely benign.
See another doctor, or an orthopaedic surgeon.

Let them take it out at the hospital only a day case you do not have to stay in so don,t worry it will be all over in a flash and forgotten about just a small dressing couple of stitches but you will not feel a thing and no more pain.

according to hazard you clench your fists or tend to stressful up on your palms slightly, that would not ensue to me, yet whilst my palms are clenched or some thing whilst i'm extremely aggravated, those pains ensue

could be a ganglioma (nerve benign growth) that is what I had on my wrist, but no pain though...
Or it could be something else...
