Read the first four chapters of Revelation and find out just what God thinks of an apostate or dead church! He's not very happy to put it mildly!

God was in the midst of dead, dry bones in Ezekiel if you recall. And right in the midst of dryness and death, He caused life and revival to happen.
It's not about if God is in a dead church. It's about what is your specific purpose and goal there. Does God want to use you to prophesy to the dead, dry bones to live? =)
If not, then by all means wipe your feet and move on. Pray for those souls who are enslaved by the drought of this world!

God is everywhere - the real question is if you
belong in a dead church - no, of course not -
or if God wants you to be in a dead church -
probably not. :0)

Revelation 3 (New King James Version)
, Inc.
God says to the dead church:
Revelation 3
The Dead Church
1 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,
‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.[a] 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You[b] have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
6 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

The church died the day they built the first one. Church is dead cuz god does not live in churches. he lives in us. People spend their lives going from church to church looking for god instead looking for him in the greatestmiracle of all. US!

Why weren't you one of the ones leading at the old church? A church needs leaders with new ideas on reaching the lost.

Well despite your bad grammar you make a point. Churches arent what they used to be, but people do know more about life than they did before too.

God can use anybody. God is everywhere.
Even people who are stagnant spiritually.
Do they need to rededicate their lives? Probably, but you need to worry about YOUR spiritual condition. If you feel stagnant, move on.
