I have to give two speeches and I figured I would keep the same topic, less research. Although is this topic do able. Or are there better topics that might be better.

Keep referring to the pending doom of all mankind and polar bears.

Maintain the pressure of guilt like the churches have done over the years to convince people that it's their fault.

Muddle the issues by claiming that both warming AND cooling are due to man made climate change.

Refer to Algore's tactic of adopting the speech pattern of a southern baptist preacher when talking about global warming.

This will insure that your speech is persuasive.

You could really surprise everyone and give a speech that is positive about the future. For example: select a problem (maybe the danger of mining) and then demonstrate how technology is (will) develop the answers to reduce that risk. In this case maybe using developing nano-technology which will do the actual mining without sending humans under the earth.

Or. . . .

Go way out on a limb and demonstrate the promise of the latest cold fusion experiments and that if this approach is developed how energy will be available to every one world wide ate very low cost.

I think it is both because the topic is very important and you can make it very informative.
