Why do the "Big Soft Drink", companies, put there soft drinks In these huge bottles, saying that they are so much cheaper than there Glass bottles, when, If you buy them the time you are about half way down the plastic one", all the Gasd has gone out the drink, and you end up throwing the stuff out?.

I know you can get gadgets to "Fizz them up"? and all that sort of stuff?, however why all that bother for your favourite tipple. I would love to name the ONe I have been drinking since I was a child?, and am still drinking It to this day. However I know I would be Violating some law or another.

Hello Tom

I'd agree with the others who said the big bottles are handy for parties etc. But I think it's a shame that you're penalized for not drinking as much as some.

I, like you, hate it when the pop goes flat. yuk!!! Got goosebumps just thinking about it. lol

For larger groups, maybe the whole family who will suck it down in a few hours! If your like me a can a day will do. That way its always fresh! I don't drink that much Colas but when I do it's got to FFiiizzzzz!!!!!! If you open one of those big bottles and don't use it before it goes flat you can always cook with it. It is a good steak marinade there are lots of recipes online maybe you can check them out sometime. I hate wasting stuff.

I think the larger bottles were designed for larger groups of people. They do still make one & two litre, as well as individual serving sizes. If you have to throw it out, it isn't a saving, so just get the smaller bottles.

They probably do it so you throw out the last of the bottle and go get another one in less time than it'd take to finish. It's a good marketing technique.

Hi Tom,

Nowadays families are much smaller so it doesn't make sense, but they're handy for parties.

I never buy them because like you said, before you can finish the drink it's flat.

Thank heavens they make smaller containers for most drinks.
