Why are women offended when we stare?

Question

I hear women/girls complain when men look at them, and know in my case it might be because they have a nice body and almost always it is because they are showng it off with tight tops/bottoms and low-cut tops. Why do women wear provocative or somewhat provocative clothing and then get upset if men notice them?

No one has every complained about ME noticing ... I just hear it in conversation.

Stare was a poor choice of words...I can't help notice and try not to linger.

i can only speak for me on this, not on behalf of all women, but i'm not offended when you stare, so much as when you stare and don't say anything! that's annoying... apparently you like what you see, but you don't have the b*lls to say anything, and that speaks volumes!!!! or when you do say something, but it's offensive or just lame... that's even worse...trust me... and when we wear nice stuff, it's cuz WE like our bodies too, so we do things to accentuate it, not necessarily to get you to stare... but it's just me!

What men consider provocative can sometimes just be normal clothing. Unless they're dressed completely slutty - short skirt and very low tight tops - you should respect the woman. Looking is not bad, but touching or staring is annoying no matter what you're wearing.

It's just one of those uncomfortable feelings. You know someone is staring.

I've gotten used to men looking just because it's in your nature to do so - but having someone stare you down as you walk by is unnerving.

Well not all women complain. One there are women who wear nice fited clothing but dont really show any skin. And still get hit on.While girls who wear clothes that looks like it almost dont fit, dont really get hit on. Well most women who do get hit on might get upset becasue of what the guy might say. Or the way he might act. Some guys out there act like freaking dogs. There were times that I got hit on or stared act and did get mad, because guys think that I was going to sleep with them because of their stupid comments. Or they would stare like all they see is **** and @ss. There is more to a women than her body parts. Now when a guy is nice about it and dont act or sound like a pig, then we might take it asa compliment

Two different groups there. The ones who complain aren't likely to wear tight tops and bottoms...

The ones who do wear provocative clothing are often hoping to provoke.

Know your audience.

Perhaps it's just they don't want to provoke you.

They like what they are wearing and usually are wearing it because it makes them feel good inside to wear it.

It can make it quite uncomfortable when a stranger you know nothing about is staring at you on the streets or in a store etc.

She has no idea what that person is thinking or what he may do.

cause most of the time you arent like staring at are face you are staring at you bod or **** or something along those lines. most people stare at me because i have big boobs and they would be like talking to my boobs instead of me.. which is soooo damn annoying~!

i dont know about them but i love it when a man stares at me, it makes me feel beautiful... and i just absolutly love it...
