There's a good reason. My 4 year old daughter turned it on, then shoved the part that zooms back into the camera. Is there a way I can open it and do anything to fix it, or am I just out of luck? I can't find my receipt which voids the warranty. I'm a little desperate, above mentioned stinker's birthday is Saturday, and I definately will need a camera!

Unfortunately your camera has suffered abuse. Abuse is never covered under a warranty. Repairs will be at your expense and likely cost more than a new camera. Use your Casio for a paperweight and begin shopping for its replacement. Keep the new one away from little hands.

you may want to change/charge the batteries and keep trying. Also, if you have a camera store you like, the mechanism may be gunky (you can tell I"m not a camera expert) and if they clean it maybe the lens will reengage. It happened to me....
