...caught last night's episode; being a most devoted fan of the original series (...and naturally, the comparison is inevitable), I really have to say that the series seems to be very slick, action-packed and too damn serious; much like an unseasoned soup, something seems to be missing...
...what was great about the original '70's series, is that it, too, was slick (...for it's time), action-packed and series; but at the same time, the series was actually fun to watch. There was an almost mischievious touch of humor to the proceedings, and despite the seriousness of the series, it took some creative and humorous pains, to not take itself TOO seriously (...this is the exact same reasoning why I have not been able to get into the new 'Battlestar Galactica', versus the classic and fun '70's original)...
...with the new series (...and I really couldn't make it through the whole episode, to be quite honest), they seemed to want to make an attempt at a T.V. ***-kicking cyber sci-fi heroine, in the same vein as 'Dark Angel' or 'Alias'; this formula is getting quite stale, especially with the recent (over)slew of ***-kicking sci-fi heroines on the silver screen, like "Ultraviolet", "Underworld", "Aeon Flux", "Bloodrayne", "La Femme Nikita", etc...
...I'll readily admit a definite attraction to the sexy element of all those mentioned; however, I'd really have to place the new 'Bionic Woman' as just another generic, carbon copy, cookie cutter rendition...

I wasn't sure at first but it is really growing on me..
:) Lindsay Wagner will always be the best Bionic Woman to me though..

First episode was great. Second was painful. Third showed promise. I am on the fence. Another painful episode like the second one and I am done. I agree with the other poster Pushing Daisies is my new Wend show.

I watched the first and second episodes...it took all I had in me to get through the second one...what a disappointment!

i didnt get past the 1st show..just didnt keep my interest. Pushing Daises..now THAT i like!
