To come is as an E-3 from the beginning (before even basic training) he would have to have if I am not wrong 48 semester credits and 72 quarter credits.

They need to take a certified copy of their college transcript to a Navy recruiter. The recruiter will have the transcript verified by a Navy Classifier and they will be told what paygrade they will be eligible for after that. Not all colleges or college credit count towards this preenlistment advancement process. There are other factors to be looked at as well. They will need to talk to a recruiter in person with regards to their college credits. Yahoo answers cannot answer this question with a correct answer only a recruiter can help your family member.

26 credits for E2 and 48 for E3. Semester hours, not quarter hours.

none.....just have to graduate high school to enter the armed forces.....everything rank is gained through knowledge of your job

My husband was an E6 ET nuke and he had no college at all.
