I am currently on 75 mg of zoloft. I take it for panic/anxiety disorder. I would like to have a drink now and again socially when I am out with friends but I am scared that something bad will happen.

Don't do it! Alcohol is a depressant. You will be negating the efforts of your treatment. Please! You have come along way in recognizing that you need the extra glue, now don't mess it up! Please, you are worth much more than a social drink. There are many drinks out there that look like all the others but don't have alcohol. I would hope that if you are with friends and you are old enough to drink that this would really not be a problem. You can still have fun with out it. Please, remember how important to you that you are. You could die from this kind of action and or hurt many others along the way.

then don't drink.

you can have a good time without alcohol. besides, soda or water is cheaper

I would like to add that, purposely neglecting to take your zoloft isn't a good idea... and also that MOST ALCHOLICS have underlying mental illness which cause them to self-medicate. Alcoholism has nothing to do with zoloft...

why would you want to drink Alcohol? It is a depressant. Zoloft is an anti- depressant. / That is defeating the purpose
