Death is natural, and you will mourn as long as you feel you need to. I think it best to remember the good stuff left behind, memories can last forever. Don't mourn for her death, celebrate her life as only you can.

I'm sorry to hear this. Parents are our rock. People don't really understand that really. Some teens are very rebelling and don't really get it. I think you will get better able to handle this stress as you get older and time goes by but you should know that it will always be with you. Mostly when something big happens in you life like all the firsts that you will have coming. Being 13 there will be allot. Don't be afraid to ask another female in your family for help. Just because you have support and get close to another family member does not mean you are replacing you mom. She is watching and knows how hard it is for you and knows that you need help. She is not angry with you for getting it. So don't feel bad about being close to your family, that's what they are for. The more you embrace this fact the better you will be at handleing your mothers death.

Hi hon....
Grief is a process, and there is not a right or wrong time to stop grieving.
Sometimes we need someone to talk with and some good, solid support. Have you considered talking with your school counselor? Maybe he or she could give you helpful suggestions.
I have posted a few websites about grief... i hope that if you look at them, they will be of some comfort.
My mother died from cancer, too... 6 years ago. I still miss her but have come to realize it was her time to die. It doesn't seem fair.
Sending hugs.. i'm sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry about your mom. I don't think you will ever get over the loss of your mom but each day you will learn to cope better. Grieving takes time. There is no time limit on when it begins or ends. Make sure you are getting all the emotional support you need to help you deal with the grief you are feeling. Pray to God for comfort and strength as you cope. Best to you.

In time it wont hurt so much... But you're still young. It's never easy to lose a parent. I'm 26 and I can't imagine life without my mother. Just live each day as it comes, and try to think about all the good times you and your mother shared. As I said, in time it wont hurt so much, but the pain will never 100% go away.
I'm sorry for your loss.

I have a close relationship with my mom and cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through.
I say, grieve as long as you want-need too. The feelings will never completely diminsh, but it will get easier in time.
Take care of yourself and do not be afraid to ask others for help.

I'm sorry. It's a very traumatic experience and especially when you're so young.
It will get better but it takes time. Everyone is different. There is no magic time period to accept your loss.
Keep your mom in your heart and in your prayers. Remember that she is always with you.
Good luck.

it will ease up when you start accepting it the truth. not that the fact that she died.
don't hold your emotion.
people tend to say, hush2 dun cry, shes gone to a better place.
but no, what you need is a good cry. to let the emotion wash away.
