well, I want to know where all this "Americans" are, looking for a job. I work for a staffing service and we have an add in the newspaper, so they know. The pay is decent and these are temp-to-hire positions with a very reputable company and great benefits. It is a manucfacturing job, light assembly, but americans don't want the job or they are felons. Therefore it is not that illegals are taking our jobs, is that most americans are lazy and don't want to stand for 8 hours, or actually work. I also know for a fact that illegals are not the only ones not filing their taxes, americans do it all the time. In addition, ilegals are not the only ones committing identity theft, americans do it also, you know why? so that they don't have to pay child support. So if in your little mind some of you think, that AMERICA would be a perfect world if all the ilegals left, think again.

Again very reputable company, we do not guarantee that they will hire you, that all depends on the work performance. Once hired, there is health insurance, paid vacation and more money, just to mention a few benefits.

I would like to know what school spends $700,000 in the whole school, let alone in one department. I'm sorry but that is bull s**t.

Also no one that is illegal and filing there taxes gets the Earned Income Credit, not even with an ITIN number.

Clint, a speeding ticket does not make you a felon, your smart. Credit card and retail theft does, that is just some things we have received on the reports. You're a bright one.

Right now, the unemployment rate is very low, that is why there aren't many people coming to your staffing agency. When there is a recession, people will start scrambling for those jobs and the jobs illegal immigrants fill. Meat packing plants used to pay $19 an hour in the 80s when the cost of living was lower, now they pay an average of $9 an hour because of the influx of illegal immigrants. When a company can pay an illegal immigrant less than the minimum or competitive wage, that drops the wages offered to people who are legally here. Illegal immigrants are being exploited so that wealthy companies can make themselves even wealthier by paying the immigrants $4/hr with no benefits and the company doesn't have to pay taxes on them. Why would an American take a job that pays less than a living wage? That's why Americans don't want to scrub toilets, do landscaping, work construction, or pick fruits because they can't live off of those wages.

In the first place temp services should be made illegal because all temp services are bloodsuckers that take away badly needed jobs and money from people! they'll tell you that employers pay their fees and not the employees who they hire, bullsh!t those employers would pay more if you didn't exist ..
the next thing temp serv,will tell you is that they will provide you with insurance but that is not really necessary either because anywhere you work you have to make it through your probationary period then you'll be elligible for benefits anyway.Temp agencies are a disaster for america taking away money from people who need it the most!!!! But there are only two circumstances where temp agencies as far as i can see it being allowed is 1:professional technical or office clerical positions
2:A place where employers can call if they need an extra set of hands should one of their
employees call in sick got injured and would be laid up a couple of days and the position needs to be filled immediately .By the way the reason
you can't find people to fill your positions is most of us avoid temp agencies like the plague

I was appauld at how laura bush came to Milw to congradulate this woman who started manpower Inc. I worked for temp agencies, & I don't know where you are, but I had a very hard time living on what I made there. But then, I don't live with 10 or 20 of my closest friends & relatives either. I am a single mother & because the economy was so bad, I could only find work in a factory & in a Eastern Indian company, & as soon as they imported one of their relatives, I didn't have that job either. Oh, and the factory? Yes, I was passed over for a Peruvian woman with reactive 'headlights' & a good figure. There was AC in part of it & the men running the machines like to watch the high beams. Then in yet another factory, I was injured on the job, & both places denied coverage. It was only a pulled muscle & I only needed a few visits to the doc, but I ended up paying for that too. Yeah, temp places, I had to invoice my employer once. I was making $10. an hour, & they were being charged $18. an hour for me. The temp agencies make out, the worker gets abused.
Now, I am in a small business, who is doing rather well, but because of the Republicans giving rich business owners all kinds of breaks, & they don't have to offer health insurance. I really do think we would be MUCH better off with todays crop of illegals & even most of the legal ones. In general, they refuse to learn & speak the language, & are more rude than anything! My grandparents came to this country legally, held jobs, learned the language, made sure their children learned the language, & didn't sponge off this country the way a LOT of them are today!

This is the first time I’ve ever heard of a temp for hire agency the pays for health insurance, paid vacation etc. Most don’t. Wait you said later once hired then the company that hires me will give me the benefits and more money. Why would they hire me? It’s cheaper to keep me on as a temp then hire me, especially for a low skilled job.

Temp for hire services have always had problems with getting enough qualified employees, most people are looking for full time steady work. And if they are qualified most take full time jobs.

People want to know that next week there will be a paycheck. I’ll bet you’d be surprised to find out that over 70% of all the jobs Americans won’t do are done by Americans or legal aliens. So yes illegal are taking jobs from Americans. Don’t try and play that game, I can PROVE Americans can and will do the jobs you claim American won’t do. Or do you contend that just because you can’t find qualified people who are willing to work at the wage you are willing to pay proves Americans won’t do the work or are lazy.

So some Americans cheat on their taxes, most don’t percentage wise I’m willing to bet more illegal fail to pay taxes compared Americans. Percentage wise illegal aliens commit more identity thefts then legal Americans.

How many illegal aliens, have father children and gone back to Mexico and failed to pay child support? How many illegal aliens have come across the boarder just to have their child here? So they can collect benefits?

No I don’t think America would be perfect if the illegal aliens left, it would help, but no place is perfect. Once we get the boarder under control, then we can give temporary work permits, you know six months here six months back in your home country, no family unless they are working, no children under 16, if you’re pregnant sorry you need to take care of yourself in your own country.

BTW $700,000 for one program in one school isn’t a lot of money. If the program has only five people paying average teacher’s wage of 44,400 (222,000) not counting befits, plus the cost of the class rooms, plus supplies, ETC. I’m willing to bet the teachers and administrator make more then average.

Senator William Roth requested a study by the General Accounting Office, which reported last fall that illegal aliens can receive direct cash payments of up to $2,528. Foreign nationals who are working illegally in this country can get the checks if they have a dependent child and make less than $23,755 a year.

Maybe it was the part where I pointed out that as a percentage more illegal aliens then Americans fail to file taxes.

Maybe it was the part where dead beat dads steal an identify to avoid paying child support, and I pointed out an illegal alien only has to go home to avoid that. Or that illegal aliens on the whole committed more identify theft then Americans percentage wise.

So you are basing your info on your one little example??? And you say Americans have little minds.

Have you heard about big companies who hire illegals, under the table for low salaries???? They can give illegals low salaries because they don't pay for Social Security, state and federal taxes, and medical benefits!! Americans could not do those jobs for that low wage because they get less money after all those deductions are taken out of their paycheck.

Yes, Americans commit identity theft, not pay taxes and all that. But that does NOT justify illegals being here! If they want to live and work here then they need to go through the LEGAL process like the MILLIONS of other immigrants who came to the US "to get a better life!" Also, don't even try to say that illegals are harder working than Americans -- that doesn't fly!!

"Manufacturing/assembly job" with "decent pay" and "great benefits"? I highly doubt that is the case, hun. If this so called great job did exist then I can assure you, Americans would be lined up at the door to apply for it. A very good friend of mine also works for an assembly/manufacturing plant (Moog inc). They assemble the valves that navigate our satellites and every single time there are open interviews for low-level TEMP jobs (not full-time mind you), my friend and others who work there are pulled from their jobs (she is a senior engineer) to help process the hundreds (yes hundreds) of applicants who want in. Maybe your company should compare notes with moog to see what it is doing wrong because if your company truly does off "decent wages" and "great benefits" then you should have no problem finding legal citizens to staff. Often what companies consider to be "decent pay" is barely enough for a single citizen to survive on, let alone one who has a family to support. As for your complaints about Americans not filing their taxes and committing identity theft, that is like picking one white rose out of a field of red roses and saying "see?? this one has thorns that can hurt you too!!" In other words, that's a very small threat compared to the hundreds of thousands of illegals doing those things. Please stop and consider the size of YOUR own mind before you go around insulting others.

America is moving away from an economy based on "manufacturing". You would be wise to find a new field. Wages in this country can't compete in manufacturing and still get out a competitive product. Sorry...but these things happen unless an economy remains completely stagnate...and that is never good.

Re: School budgets...our county school budget last year was 2.1 billion dollars. $700,000 for a school department seems a little low to me. Each student is budgeted at an expense of $13,500/year. Think about that. EACH and EVERY illegal alien child is costing the tax payers $13,500 a year just for their education

i am on a legal immigrant visa to the USA, my observation is the illegals are doing jobs "most Americans wont like to do",
i was jobless for 3 months, yet i refused to to do the jobs in the groceries -loading unloading , cleaning the trash , all sorts of tough jobs are given to the mostly Hispanic undocumented workers.

yet, i dont want them here, for two reasons, i have no wish to learn Spanish, 2ndly there are undocumented people living here for even 10 years, i will loose my job the 1st chance when this huge labor force comes to the market 150 million...


another thing , give me the email address of the staffing agencies, i have yet to land a decent job, i am a Graduate with excellent backgrounds, yet i am working in an odd position

Well not all of us are sitting at a desk in your air conditioned room judging people with real jobs. Working class jobs. Good ol' blue collar. My friend who has been a construction worker for about 10 years got fired because he was being replaced by a bunch of illegals who would work for less. Now he is stuck without a job and no one will hire him because they all have an illegal workforce. I myself got fired because of the same thing. And its not just that. Teenagers. Who used to be the ones taking your order at McDonalds or washing your car at the car wash? Teenagers. Now who is it? Some 5'4" greasy motherf*cker with gold teeth and a staring problem. My little brother can't get hired anywhere. You know why? Because he wont work for less than minimum wage. F*ck the illegals. They shouldnt be here anyways. Why are you supporting them even in that way?

You state that the only non illegals are felons, why not give them a chance. What is the difference between one criminal and another, I'd rather trust someone with a speeding ticket than someone who's committing ID fraud.

Your right a speeding ticket is not a felon but running from the law is. again it comes down to whether you want someone who is currently doing a criminal act or some one who has been punish for it. I would like to believe that in certain jobs it is ok to give people another chance.
