He's supposed to save us from our own vile, sinful natures which will send us straight to hell. And who determined what is sinful in the first place? And put it in our nature? And created hell?

I'd settle for being saved from his followers, but that's apparently asking a bit much.

First off, if you are not His sheep, one of His followers, He is not your savior. Second, if you understood the culture at the time and what occurred at the Temple during the feast days, your question would not be needed. The moneychangers were there to exchange foreign currency into the accepted Roman currency for the purpose of purchasing animals to be sacrificed in the Temple. The reason Jesus went after them was that they were known to cheat people on the money exchange and more importantly, they had set up their tables in the outer court of the Temple, which was the only place Gentiles could come and worship God. In essence, they were blocking access to God in the temple. Christ cleared them out so that the Gentiles could come and worship as well. Christ provided a way for Gentiles to approach God and worship Him. Sound familiar?

From the transgressions of Adam & Eve because they ate from the tree of knowledge of good & evil, creating the original sin. By accepting jesus as your savior he is absolving you of the original sin & you get to go to heaven.

So I'm told, I'm not christian because the story of Adam & Eve is mythology, so there's no reason to really be saved from anything.

Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins. Meaning, he died so when we sin, we can be be forgiven if we repent and try our hardest to not do it again. As long as you repent and try with all your heart, mind, and strength, to not do it again, we can return to live with our Heavenly Father when we die. But, it also depends on what religion you are and what you believe
