So, English is a second language for the Bible AND for you?
Cool.

In spite of bad spelling, incorrect capitalization and poor punctuation, your question is completely understandable.

Even in a second language, the Bible's message is clear too.

You know monkeys didn't speak english before evolving? I don't believe in that but anyway. Well let me see, lets get all the followers of Christ and sit down and learn hebrew and greek!! Come on now, it's just not logical for everyone that follows Christ to learn those 2 languages. That is why King James and scholars translate, they were hebrew and greek scholars. Plus if you go to www.powerbible.com you can download or buy a free demo copy of what the words mean in that language. Therefore giving you a better understanding of what was intended, but a lot of people don't do that. That is why there are so many misinterpretations of scripture. You must see what it means in the hebrew and greek before coming to a conclusion, duh!

No Bible is "originally in English". Neither is it "originally" in any other language. It was written in different languages- Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. No language has 100% "ownership" over the complete Bible.

The King James version translated very well the ancient texts of the Bible. It takes some getting used to (Thee and Thou...) but it is a faithful recitation of the original gospels and testaments.

That is why getting a good translation is so important. I live the New International Version. It was translated by scholars from many different denominations, including some non-religious ones, and went through a long and rigorous review by academics before being released. And if you get a good study Bible, any debates over meaning are included in the footnotes.

When you read, you actually ARE reading subtitles. The Latin had translation errors which were carried over into the English version. Moses crossed the sea of reeds, not the Red Sea, for example. Another example is the ten commandments. Christians teach the wrong ones in Exodus Ch.20. They are found in Ch.34. Bible has never been shown to be all correct and without error.

Christians you know the Bible was not originally done in Hebrew either. But God inspired Moses to write it as well. So get a grip on yourself. God is a God of all men and nations and kingdoms. He is a King and his kingdom come on earth in us. So if you had the spirit of God in you,you would have understanding for God's spirit in us confirms that the word of God is true. As you read the word you heart leaps inside you just like John leaped inside his mother when Mary came to see Elizabeth with her citation. God is in us so we know that we know that he is and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. Wisdom Proverbs 8.

That's why I have several translations when I study it. I really like the old King James best. I should learn Greek etc. but I never get around to it.

Sub-Titled? I'm not sure I understand that.

That is why the Catholic position, that the Church - not the Bible - is the final authority in matters of doctrine, is far more logical. Bible translations can be corrupt, and personal interpretations can be erroneous. But Jesus institued an authoritative teaching Church, protected by the Holy Spirit. (Just as the founding fathers established a Supreme Court to rule on arguments over the Constitution.)

i don't know what denomination it became, yet a number of their individuals curiously take part in R&S. area word, on the Miriam A. Ferguson attribution: the link presented leads to an internet site which explicitly says that the attribution is carefully unfounded.
