Adelante means 'progress' as well as 'forward'. Not Latin, but close! - Spanish.

it's "adelante" and generically means forward, in a forward direction (adverb).

"adelante" is also a verb form--from adelantar--, specifically, the 3rd person singular subjunctive, which can be used as a command for usted. The verb means "move ahead of/in front of" or "pass" (such as a car).

"Adelante" is Spanish for come on, move forward, let's go, etc. For example, someone might say to you in spanish, "Adelante amigo!" That means "let's go friend!"
