I drink all kinds, both teas and tisanes. Included in that are the two teas of the tea ceremony, Chanoyu, prepared with great care and carefully selected prepared with a tea whisk in a Matcha bowl. Of the other teas I prefer a fine Darjeeling, pre-warming the pot and adding one teaspoon loose tea for each cup and one for the pot, bringing the pot to the kettle, rather than the kettle to the pot, with the kettle at a full boil. In winter I like the smoky taste of Lapsang Soochong. With a Chinese meal I like Formosa Oolong, followed by Jasmine made with Chinese White tea. In the afternoons I like Earl Grey. Often in the evening I'll drink chamomile or peppermint tea (whole herb, not flavoured). In Summer I make my iced tea with Red Rose tea and a couple of bags of raspberry, letting it brew in the sun. Sometimes with breakfast I drink either English of Irish Breakfast tea, adding milk first to the English and last to the Irish. I make various herbals for different ailments. I like Russian Caravan tea steeped in a small pot and diluted with warm water from a Samovar served in glasses. I don't add sugar to any, but may add a little honey to some of the more bitter medicinals.
A great iced tea can be made from the flowering heads of red sumac. A good Spring tonic is made from shavings of red sassafras.

[Had a carafe of China White Mulan with lunch today. It was beautiful watching the leaves unfold in the glass carafe as the tea brewed. Delicious and fragrant.]

I fill a mug with water and put it into the microwave oven for a full minute. Then I take it out and soak the tea bag in it for several times until I see there's no more tea flowing to the water. Fast tea! I like green teas and sometimes for a "kick up" effect, the black tea is my option!
Have a wonderful day, you too!

That would, of course depend on the tea, it's purpose and it's density. For example, a simple Black tea in teabags can be made a cup at a time with a tea bag in the cup and boiling hot water poured over it and steeped for a few minutes. Whereas, amedicinal tea such as Echinacea, Because it is made with the dense roots of the Echinacea flower, requires that it be boiled in the water and poured into the tea cup already steeped. Thje boiling of roots takes the longest time and usually requires it to be boiled rather than simply steeped.

An electric plug-in water heater seems to do the job very quickly
and from there I usually have Darjeeling tea with almond milk and agave syrup with my Breakfast. Later on in the day I have Green, or White tea for the Antioxidants.

When I make tea, it is usually only for myself. I have a special teapot that makes 2 cups of tea. I usually drink all of it.

I certainly prefer herbal types of tea. I'm not too knowledgeable in the tea area, but I'm learning. My friend introduced me to rooibos tea - my favourite has caramel chunks in it. I also like mint and fruit teas. I like teas where I don't have to add sweetener to make it drinkable.

Why you anyone even think about drinking stale tea???? The whole point of a cup of tea is that you make it when you want it. Why would you make it if you didn't want, you leave it to go cold then do?????? what with it....drink it as soon as it is made...

my favorite tea in tea bags is sencha. My favorite loose leaf tea is this green tea I found in an herbal shop. It was 45 dollars a pound. I got 3 dollars worth. It's called Lu An Melon. Tastes nothing like Melon though. It's bright green when infused.

I like hot tea and iced tea.

For hot tea, I boil water in my kettle, place a tea bag into my cup or mug, add hot water, let steep for about two minutes, remove tea bag. I like my hot tea with a splash of cream and 1 sugar. I have tried various teas, prefer orange pekoe and cut black tea.

For iced tea prepare the following recipe and pour into large glasses which have been filled with ice. Orange pekoe and cut black tea are the preferred tea for iced tea.

4 family size tea bags, or 8 individual sizes
2 cups water
3/4 c. sugar
1 gallon pitcher

Heat water to boiling. While heating water, remove tea bags from wrapper, place in glass measuring cup. Pour hot water over bags, place saucer on top of measuring cup. Let steep for 3 - 5 minutes. Meanwhile, add sugar to pitcher. When tea has finished steeping, pour ontop of sugar in pitcher. Add cold water to measuring cup, extracting as much tea the may still remain in bags. Pour into pitcher. Stir well until all sugar is dissolved. Fill pitcher with cool water. Stir well.

i just buy one of those tea bags thingies. I forgot the name of the company. LOL. Pour some hot water on it, and viola! It's done.

I don't have any favorites. Sometimes I'll buy one flavor. Another time I will buy another.

You know how I feel about food. I don't live to eat (or drink).
