it a bush 40 inch rear view t.v i have tried buying universal remotes but they work only if the tv is on and not on stand buy. does anyone know which remote that can switch it on if it is on standby. the panel on the tv is locked cos i didnt want my son playing around with it. please help

Get brand, model number and serial number from TV.
Call 1-800-remotes give info, new remote in a few days no programing. will work just like the original

Find out where you got the TV, then ask them if there is a replacement for the broken remote, oh one other thing, check the batteries in the remote, they may have gone bad and may need replacement.

lol! That really does suck, though. Actually, I'm surprised it didn't happen to me.
Try going online to see if the tv company has any info or a hotline (since you haven't give the tv name, and I don't mean a cute nickname like 'bob'). You might even be able to purchase a new remote exactly like the one that broke. It's worth a try.

Go to the company's site and find the product number for the remote control, then search eBay, and get another one for cheap!

i'll get a sprint dissatisfied ok i'll get alot dissatisfied. One time i could no longer locate the distant for 3 months. i chanced on it hidden in my sons room. i assume he replaced into dissatisfied reason he could no longer watch a teach at some point & mentioned i'll restoration her.

there is a way to reset the tv read ur manual. if u dont have a manual how u reset it is usually in the main menu if u can access it. wen u reset it will return to normal. i hope u fix it

buy a universal remote control
usually the more expensive one work good
i got the one with the lcd screan from wal mart and it works perfect
