It could be as simple as your dog having dry skin. Before you take her to the vet or think she has some kind of serious disease, first of all check to make sure that she does not have fleas, and if she is flee free, Buy some dog shampoe with oatmeal in it or you could just buy some aveeno oatmeal bath and put her in the tub and wash and rinse her down very good. Be careful because the oatmeal bath tends to make the tub slippery, so please be careful for you and you dogs sake. This should stop the scratching. Good Luck.

Don't know - could be allergies, skin infections, mites, ringworm, mange - many things! How do you know it isn't fleas? Have you searched for flea dirts?
If you want to know the answer to this question, take the dog to a vet. You won't find the answer on here because there are no vets, and we haven't seen your dog.

Could be mites or a food/environment allergy. Get her checked over at the vet. A good remedy for itchy skin in dogs is a desertspoon of liquidised spinach once or twice a day.

sounds like she could have ear-mites. that's sturdy that she's in sturdy well being, yet once you go away issues on my own, you threat that she would be able to tear the floor by scratching and get an infection. If I have been you i might take her to the vet - it would be driving her (and you) mad. She prbably basically desires a direction of ear drops.

My dog had the same thing and it was an allergy,I had to take him to different vets till one of them gave me the correct remedy.
On the other hand maybe the dog is telling you he want a guitar.
But go to the vet better.
Good luck and take care

It could be dry skin or nerves. Add Omega 3 to her diet and only wash her with conditoning dog shampoo. If that doesn't help ask your vet to check her. Good Luck.
