JR fans have really toned down the beer can throwing since the track officials say before the race that they will arrest ppl. if you are seen throwing things on the track. I'm a Jr fan and I like Jeff, I personally have never thrown anything at him.

People hate the great ones! Gordon is a California boy that can drive the socks of the rednecks. OUCH!!!!! And not only can he drive, he is a threat to the Almighty record books. He has already passed Sr. record of wins and he is nowhere near stopping. Having a "pretty boy" from California do better than your favorite driver has got to sting. So since your driver can't beat him, the next best thing is to hate him.
And then to really make things worse.... he brings Johnson on board, is listed as the team owner, and Johnson beats your driver too!!!!! And Johnson may only have one Championship so far, he sure has been 2nd quite a few times. Man, Johnson has been a threat from the start ot grab one of those championships most of your favorite drivers probably just dream about. No wonder why Budweiser is your favorite sponsor.... got to get through the pain somehow, don't you?

Ok now I am a Jr. Fan and a Jeff Gordan Fan and a Jimmie Johnson fan. I am ecstatic that they will all be on the same team. But not all people feel the same way as me. I believe the can throwing Jr. fans will switch over to Kasey Cain and still throw the red and black beer cans. You cant please everyone. And that was the most important thing that Jeff Took form Seniors talk. Senior was a great man and you have to believe he had to take his when he was up and coming. People are going to be who they are going to be, but maybe their kids will see how childish they are behaving and hopefully turn out to be better people that their parents turned out to be.

I am a Jr. fan, and not a fan of Jeff Gordon. Of course, I can see he is a great driver, and I would never throw a can at ANY driver. The ones that do that kind of thing are just idiots. Even GREAT drivers like Jr. have to put up with some idiots for fans. They shouldn't all be painted with a black brush though. I am sure Jr. has lots of fans that are respectful to Jeff and other racers. But, the media doesn't draw attention to THOSE fans. Just the ''bad" ones.

Jeff is way more patient than I would be. With the money he has he could easily hire people to identify and take action on those that throw things at him on the track.
I never sit near the front stretch when going to a race. It seems that area is reserved for the narrow minded alcoholic that tends to throw the cans. I love racing, but every one knows if your there with your kids stay away from the front stretch.
It is terrible that people throw thing. In NC it is actually a felony crime to do that. I wish NASCAR and the tracks would take more steps to protect the drivers and to make it more enjoyable for the entire family.

HAHAHA Do you really think that Jeff Gordon cares?? Nope not a bit, it only boosts his ego, he knows what he knows. If the Jr fans want to act like that he don't really care, I think that he finds it rather amusing. Didn't anybody see him on Sunday night with David Depade? He knows and I'm sure he can careless about what the Jr fans think about him, The Jr fans will now be in Gordon's court, so deal with it, Let's just all try to act our ages at least now Jr might have a chance!

I never understood why just because Jr can't win a race & Gordon & Johnson know how to, why his fans, some of them but not all them, throw beer cans at them when they win. Is Wal-Mart paying them Bubba's that much $$$ where they can afford to waste a few beers like that. Just wondering
