ok...I admit I know almost nothing about the first part of your question. But as for the second part:
1st degree (is when the skin turns red, such as a minor sunburn)
2nd degree burn is when the upper layers of skin are damaged (such as a sunburn or touching something hot, and there is blistering)
3rd degree burn is the most severe, affecting all layers, and the skin peels off..requires medical attention since infection can set in.
