I ran out of wet dog food and she only eats wet and dry mixed together. I order special dog food online, so it's not coming for about 3 days or so. What can I use as a subsitute (for now)?

Don't make anything special because then you'll have an even bigger problem on your hand. My grandfather started giving his dog leftovers with his food and now the dog won't eat the same meal twice in a row.

Cook some chicken without any seasoning or sauce and mix it in with her food. Dogs can be stubborn but they're not stupid. She'll eat if she's hungry enough.

You may also consider looking into the ingredients that are found in her normal wet food and including them. Just don't make it fancy- try to keep it simple and/or bland.

Try putting a little tuna in sunflower oil on her biscuits and let the oil soak in for a few seconds if she does not eat after 10 minutes take the food up and put in fridge and give it her again the next morning with a little more of the tuna. she will get the idea that this is all she is getting until her food supply arrives.

When it does arrive do not be tempted to give her extra as she will relate to that and will turn her nose up at everything and then get given a bit more of her favourite food

Add water to moisten. Unfortunately dry food is very boring though for the dog, they'd much rather eat something else, but as always the most boring food is the healthiest.
You may want to add rice aswell... Whatever works best for you though.
Good Luck

Try buying a can of low-sodium green beans.
I've also added a little oatmeal & warm water. Oatmeal is good for dogs, gentle on their tummy too.
Canned pumpkin is also good.
You could also try just sticking her food in the blender with some water until it turns to mush. I did that when my dog had puppies, so they could learn to eat food. Mama ate the leftovers like crazy.

I have a 3 dogs who are all very spoiled, especially eating. I always put some meat in with the dry food, and NEVER use wet canned food. I just think its nasty. I mix the dry food with chicken, ham, hamburger meat, turkey.

Sometimes I put a bit of leftover gravy in my dog's dinner and he hoovers it instantly. Last night I put a tiny amount of mince from our shepherds pie in his dinner and he seemed to really enjoy it. Basically adding anything with a bit of flavour will encourage your dog to eat it- how about a bit of chopped up chicken, as it's low in fat and dogs love it.
