If you are as poor as you say, the Hyundai makes more sense. The 5 yr/60K basic warranty that covers 90% of the car, will keep you from having to spend money you don't have on any repairs that are needed. The 100K powertrain warranty is another reason. The Ford has only a 36K warranty.

I have trouble with "I am a poor person" then the statement you want to go out and spend 12,000 at 10 to 15% intrest to drive around? Certenally you are not poor if you can manage to come up with 3,500 a year for the next 4 or 5 years. Then to add to your costs gasoline at 285 a gallon 1,200 or more a year. Because your new fredom costs. Insurance? $2,000 a year. Think Public Transportation? or better job make enough money to save up at least three months of rent car payments and at least 3,000 down payment and buy something a little nicer with 4 doors and hatch back lets say Nissan Versa/Sentra Honda FIT, Toyota Yarus.

I would buy the Ford.. I own one and have had no trouble with it. I don't own a focus, but know people that do.

buy the ford focus- ford motor company has outstanding service to their customers- i had a bad experience with the salesman- but salesmen are a dime a dozen...... i didn't base my opinion on his unprofessionalism when i purchased my ford f150 back in 04......i received a reasonable interest rate with ford motor company and got an even better one through my credit union......knock on wood......i haven't had to replace anything on this truck- not even the battery- and it is almost four years old- shop around ford and talk with the salespeople.....good luck friend and God bless you

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH THE FIRST ANSWER BUT INSTEAD OF A BIKE YOU NEED TO KEEP LOOKING FOR ANOTHER TYPE OF VEHICLE THAT WILL AT LEAST RUN LONGER THAN YOUR NOTE WILL BE FOR.
