Probably an old animistic religion from back in the hunter gatherer days.
That particular religion is almost certainly dead by now but some concepts from those animistic religions are still around even in today's post-religious world.
Among religions that are actually still practised one could probably argue that the various tribal animistic religions are the oldest being descended from the first religions.

The Vedas from India is said to be the oldest. Then we have Zarathustra from Persia and Hinduism as well.
The northern religions with Zeuss, Odin, etc.
The Celtic religion.
Native American religions
The Aztecs
The Chinese.
All of the above are older than Christianity.

The oldest religion (organised) religion that is still practiced today is commonly thought to be Hinduism.
In a sense all religion is linked. It is fear of the unknown and death. The moment that one of our ancestors thought lightning/thunder was specifically terrifying to them, (for un-earthly 'reasons') was the moment that religion began.

I think it's paganism which then became the religion of Ancient Egyptians. Later they became Christians.
