As a Dealer, I highly recommend the NEF Shotguns to customers who want a good entry level shotgun. The are quality made, accurate, simple to operate and priced so just about everyone can afford them. The rifles are of the same quality. They are currently working on a line of new extra barrels that will interchange on both the NEF Shotguns & Rifles to add to their already versatile uses.I can honestly say I've never had a single NEF Shotgun come back for any repair or Gunsmithing problems. Quality at an affordable price.........

If the only thing your budget will allow is a single shot break action shot gun, the the NEF is a good choice. They seem to be reliable from most reports and I have been pleased with both the shotguns and rifles from them that I have shot.
Remember that for generations this is the type shotgun that was used for hunting and protecting the homestead.

NEF has absorbed Harrington & Richardson, who made some descent inexpensive, but reliable shotguns.

I have a NEF SB2, I have a 30.06 barrel and a 20 gauge barrel. It is a nice weapon for a decent price.

They would not be in business very long if they did not make a reasonably priced shotgun.**

I suggest you join a gun club. Those rascals will talk your ears off about guns. Also they have some great hunting stories.
Good luck and wear bright orange.
