Rats. Big rats. Farm rats. It tasted like chicken. At first I was forced to eat it. Then.. it was so delicious. I cant get enough.
For some people it would be exotic but here its not that exotic.
Its called "balot" here. Its a two-week old chicken egg. Its very delicious. We mostly eat it at night. When things are dark. So that we wont be grossed out seing the chick with feathers and bones. Its still delicious... especially with vinegar and salt. I want to eat one now!!!.

I ate witchetty grubs on a visit to outback Australia. They were prepared by an Aboriginal man who presented them to me with great pride. They were absolutely delicious!

It was crocodile pate and it was delicious. I gave some to my daughter to take to school and she had to take the label from the tin to convince her friends that she was telling the truth.
