I want to stay up all night so I did tonight. My brother keeps on coming and arguing with me, he keeps on saying, "Go to sleep".

I'm 18 years, he's 21, we are almost the same age, he acts like he's my dad since dad died a long time ago.

I keep on telling him to leave me alone and let me watch the tv, he keeps on arguing with me until mom waked up and yelled at me.

How to handle this brother?

i guess i should be perfectly aware that you are mad at your brother for treating you that way and for acting the way he acted...

but somehow, you must also understand that he's only doing that because he's obliged to do so.. do you think he would do that if your dad was still alive.. when you dad died, being the older one, he was given the responsibility to take over and be responsible... try to talk to your brother... you'll never know what a simple word from you might mean to him...

I'd say that in about 12hours you should thank him for giving you good advice. You stayed up all night watching tv and playing on the computer. You must not have much going on in your life to be able to waste time like this. I'd suggest you look for a job today so that you can move out on your own. Like it or not, you're a grown up. Act like one.

You must be happy that your brother cares so much about you. He only has your welfare at heart. However, if this annoys you, then it is time for both of you to have a serious conversation.
