So you've got the power! Would you use it four your own good? Or would you abuse it?

I'll use my pal's Superman scenario to draw parallels.

You, of course, try to do the most right thing, always.

Of course, 'justice' always equals rewarding your friends and punishing your enemies, i.e.: upholding beliefs you personally support, and stopping or punishing acts you do not.

Lucky for all you guys I'm a nice fellow!

But seriously, that is still despotism or dictatorship, possibly fascism. Even if it is happy, smiley, warm-fuzzy fascism, it is still punishing choices that do not agree with your own, so I would try to only involve myself when there has actually been a victim, or impending victim.

And even Supes had to come to the realization that he could not save everybody. My buddy tells me that, in some timeline, Superman gets disgusted with all the humans and considers destroying the whole planet, so I guess us humans could make any benevolent ruler nuts.

If I were the law, it would be up to others to apply it and enforce it, so it would be quite difficult, nay even impossible, for me to use it to my own good or to abuse it (myself).

I would rewrite all the laws so they actually made sence. there are way too many grey areas in our laws, and we have way too many laws on the books...
