I was stood up on Monday (3 days ago). I waited for one hour in town. I had said I'd be in town at 6. His phone was turned off. He had hardly kept in touch since Sunday. This was supposed to be our second date. He asked me out on Saturday, to have dinner and go to the movies. All night his phone was turned off. I really liked him before this, and it made me really upset.

I didn't contact him, I just called on Tuesday and heard his phone rang (it was turned on) and hung up. In the evening he sent me a message, saying sorry and that something had been wrong with his phone's network. I honestly don't believe him. Yesterday he asked me out on a date again, to go to the movies. We agreed on Friday. He was being really nice.

Hm... I can't take being stood up again. I did like him, but I want someone who's honest and serious and not playing around with me. I don't know what to do. Should I give him another chance? What would u have done? Do you think he's telling the truth? (I don't)

In other words, he wasn't able to find another way of contacting you? Sorry, don't believe him. Why didn't he just turn up for the date or send someone else to tell you he couldn't come? If your gut is telling you that he's lying, I would go with it. There are plenty of nice guys out there who don't play head games.

He's got legs so why didn't he turn up? Is he ruled by his phone alone? Whatever.....I'd give him a second chance but wouldn't hang around for long and I'd have a fallback plan to do something on my own in case he didn't turn up again. That way you won't be left feeling like an idiot. If he's truly contrite he will be at the meeting place early. If he doesn't arrive within 10 minutes, follow your fallback plan and don't contact him ever again. Let him do the running from now on. Everyone should get a second chance but not a third.

I would'nt believe him either, you could wait to see what Friday brings though, unless you've got another date you can go on,if he does'nt turn up,etc, wipe him as you are better than this to wait around all night,if his network was playing up how does that stop him from using a payphone to call you? It's just a slack excuse i think. And how does the phone excuse him for not picking you up anyway? If no show on friday, wipe him! You can do better.

Hmm its hard.

I would turn up again. You never know, he might have just had really bad luck.

Although...he could have used a pay phone or his mates phone to contact you...it wasnt nice that he just left you and then didnt think to text (not even call) until Tuesday.

Its not the best way to start out a relationship like this, granted, and you sound like a really nice girl.

Balls in your court I guess. If it were me though, I'd go.

Maybe he's phone shy? or He was busy? Meanwhile he shouldn't of stood you up, Thats one of the worst things you can do to someone on one of there first dates with that person.

If you like him, Follow your heart. Dont follow your brain. It makes stupid mistakes.

if you love him you must give him another chance..maybe his telling the truth..and his asking you to have another date so that you would believe that his sincere for his feelings for you that he loves you and if you both trust with each other your relationship will last longer..and if your relationship will no longer excest dont be worry cause that means that your not meant for each other...
