Has anyone been watching or channeled into the National Geograpgic web site?
Check on the Walruses and what's happening. They're now at an impasse as to what to do with them along the Alaskan pennensula.
Walruses breed along the ice, they breed the same way, they cannot hold their breaths long so, have to have a place to rest, and breed.
There is no ice this year. The walruses are breeding on shore, they cannot feed right, they have to travel long ways to feed and return. They can't breed right due to this.
Polar Bears both feed and breed on the ice, the same thing is happening to them. They are running into both feeding and breeding with the Brown bears. The polar bears feed on the baby seals, a natural food on the ice, there is no ice this year.
From the outer most Islands for the first time, water can be seen along the coastline all the way to Russia, for the first time in mans history.
A man with a sail boat sailed along the Northen Northwest passage all the way from the Eastern U.S. to the Western U.S. and the shipping magnets are seriously considering starting a shipping lane along this course. It cuts off six weeks of sailing.
The Hurricane Rita created a storm surge of 18 inches instead of the usual six, created by the extra seawater that has melted. It has melted more since then.
All of you that turn you nose up at Global warming, what's your answer to these questions, or can't any of you read?

Sea levels have risen about 8 inches in the last 100 years, has that been tangible to you? No? It may rise twice that in the next 100 years if the warming increases as much as some are predicting. 16 inches in 100 years. That won't be tangible either. Polar bear habitat loss and such are DEFINITELY not tangible to most people because they will never see a polar bear outside a zoo anyway.
There will be many places in the world where the changes are simply too small to ever notice. There may even be places that don't change at all. And other places the changes will be so slow that nobody will really see it as a change. For example, Venice has been sinking for centuries. It has not been evacuated, because it has been such a slow process, but people have adapted by building higher and abandoning lower floors to the sea and things like that.

The thing to remember is that global warming isn't nearly as bad as some people say, the earth will not be destroyed in the next ten years. However you also can't listen to the idiots who say global warming is a scam because that's equally untrue. It's real but the effects are gradual. Even Bush, the last person in the world to admit it, has publicly expressed that global warming is real. We have to make small changes in our lifestyle now to preserve our world, it's nothing large or hard.
To more directly answer your question, the effects of global warming are already visible. Glaciers are melting, sea levels have risen slightly, and the ten hottest years in the world occurred over the last thirteen years or so. All this can be stopped with only a little effort as long as everyone makes that small effort.

The effects of global warming are already being felt. All over the World, weather patterns have changed and the sea level has started rising. So smaller Pacific island nations already have a major problem with rising sea levels and these will get far worse over the next 20 years or so.
I believe that we will soon start seeing major natural catastrophes resulting from global warming, probably within the next 5 years. Within 10 to 20 years, the full effect will start being felt and at this stage, I think we will see a number of coastal cities being evacuated.

Well it's already started. We'v already had a start of tasting it. But the main parts are predicted to happen in 50 years. It will happen slowly. The poor countries will suffer the most, when they are least responsible for it (unfair isn't it?) and the small arctic towns will be in big trouble. The chances for the arctic peoples of surviving are less possible as the animals they depend on will may become extinc. But we don't know for sure what's going to happen, but we know it's going to be messy.

Because we are warming the earth, we will melt the glaciers, these huge ice blocks will fall into the ocean, and the water level will slowly move up. In about 10 year there will be no Florida and the World Trade center memorial will be completely under water.

It has been tangible for over 30 years. Obviously you forgot that 1/2 of Texas was under water this summer. Or that New Orleans was evacuated. Are you so self absorbed that you need more evidence?

There are conflicting facts on global warming. But our survival is at stake here and can't be ignored. The best way is to read up on all data and make up your our mind and take control of it. It's like trying to predict an earthquake or the weather, or a volcanic eruption. .

This will never happen. You've fallen for the marketing hype.
Remember politicians need to keep the populous in a state of fear, real or most likely not, to make it easier to pry freedom from the people. It looks like their tactic worked on you.

Global warming is a scam. Scams never become fact, because they are SCAMS.
The earth is always warming or cooling. 100 years from now someone like Al Gore will make a documentary about Global Freezing.
