I got more important things to worry about in my life other than worry about other peoples lives. I hate it when people gossip. It shows a bit of their inner character & a sign you know you can't trust them. If they gossip about others, how do you know they are not going to gossip about you? I'd rather stay away from these type of people. I like to mind my own business & stay out of trouble.

I don't gossip because I have been the target of malicious gossip on several occasions. It doesn't matter that the stories were wrong, they still affected my reputation. I lived in a town where gossip was awful -- the worst I have ever seen. One evening several of our friends were together when one woman said, "I feel so badly for (someone's name); her husband did (whatever)." No one said a word, and one by one, everyone left the woman standing alone. If more people would respond to gossip in this way, those who gossip would stop. With all due respect, in my opinion, people who gossip are shallow and insecure attention-seekers.

sometimes when you are at work and there is nothing to do ...you get sucked into the gossip world, even with the very best of intentions not to. i don't gossip per say... but it is enjoyable to watch these people as if they were vultures out to get to each other.... i usually tend to stick up for the gossippee being talked about. sometimes this just passes time in an otherwise boring job. (i'm quitting soon to do something i love)

People who gossip usually need to feel better about themselves. Just remember, someone who gossips to you will gossip about you.

To gossip means your own life must be very boring. I hate gossip and won't listen to it nor indulge in the pastime reserved for people who have nothing contructive to do with their lives.

I don't gossip about my collegues to my family or to them. I usually talk about my relatives to my family but that's all to it. I don't gossip about the neighbors. We all gossip to a certain extent, if we totally don't gossip, there's really nothing much to say sometimes.

I usually try to avoid gossip, but every once in a while, in the midst of a good conversation, I catch myself talking about somebody. Then I beat myself up about it later.

No, absolutely NOT. I hate gossip, because most of the time it's not even true, or only half the truth. My slogan is this: "'Don't believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see"
