i don't think there's a number for how many times is too much. but yes, i do think that you can say it too much. if you have been together a couple of years, you should be pretty assured in the fact that you love each other... if you say it too much it may sound like you are trying to reassure yourself that you do love each other, which makes it more like work than really meaning it.
also, for each couple it is probably a little different. for me personally, i would rather hear it less often... maybe once to three times a day, depending on how much time you actually spend together. if you're not together, it is probably okay to say it more because you don't have that physical connection to remind you of it.
if there's one thing i can stress about this subject, it's not to say it unless you truly MEAN it, from the bottom of your heart. If you don't truly mean it, your partner will know, and that is how the words lose meaning.
hope i helped!

Well, you can get too much of a good thing. Saying 'I love you' to someone can feel great, but after a while it'll get a little irritating. Instead of sounding like a declaration of love it'll sound like the person is actually trying to validate their self worth instead.
I don't think that there should be a limit on how many times you say it in one day, but saying it after every conversation is a bit much, at least for my tastes. Then again, each couple is different, so it really depends on the couple. Some couples say it constantly & neither person gets irritated. Others will only say it in once in a while, so it really does differ per couple.

Don't worry, I say it so he'll say sometimes, but I know he does it too lol. I don't think its insecure or desperate, its just about getting reasurace and getting to hear something you need to hear.
I think it really depends on the person as to how much is too much 'I love you'.

I did this too much with my boyfriend at the beginning of our relationship, but it drove him crazy. After I restrained myself, things were a lot better. It's probably not that your boyfriend/girlfriend doesn't love you, it just they try to show it in other ways, or don't really think saying it all the time is neccesary. Remember, actions (should) speak louder than words.

yes, as sweet as those words are, they can be redundant and needy even if your intentions are not to be. i think the first time you say it is the most special and that you should take it in moderation after that. you don't want to freak the other person out. try saying it when you guys are about to leave for work, meaning for a period of time that you won't see each other for several hours. i think it's also appropriate to say i love you when you both just shared a special moment. and of course if he says it to your first. hope that helps!

It is a must to periodically tell your significant other that you love them. Having said that, you want to pick and choose your spots. Don't tell them too much or it loses its significance and bite. Don't tell them everyday or even every other day. When I am in a relationship, I usually go once every 10 days or when the mood dictates.

If you love someone, I don't think that you can ever say it too much... I say "I love you" to my partner, because I mean it. He doesn't always say it back, but I know he loves me too. I think it just comes out of my mouth, like a natural thing to say!! But if you love someone, don't be afraid to say it!!

keep your routine that you have now
if you ease off a bit...she'll start to get suspicious
i wouldn't worry, unless she says something to you about it
its not a bad thing...you could be saying alot worse!
i think its a lovely thing to say...you can never say it too much in my books :)
