Undeniably China! They have more military hardware in reserve than currently active + its well maintained and can be called on as required - so indeed can their countless thousands of highly trained reservists. Not forgetting their women military forces (which on their own) in all probability out number the USA military in total.
Do not be fooled. China is a quiet dozing industries military giant - with ample high tec and manpower etc - and should not to be underestimated / or taken for show only!

USA, hands down....but other countries are spending more and more and have closed the gap. America's military arsenal is far superior in quality to any other anti-American country. China could be a considerable threat down the road as it's spending billions to update it's military weapontry. Our allies have great weapon's within their arsenals. America cannot stand on it's past laurels....it needs to keep updating it's arsenal to meet future threats! At this time, the United States has the best war machines and war planes, along with it's allies.

USA has the best Air Force in the world. China has the biggest, but they do not have mid-air refueling capablity, AWACs, and most of their aircraft are outdated. Meaning out in the open ocean the can only operate as far as a single tank of fuel and their land based radar can reach.
