"And the Lord was with Judah; and he [Judah] drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron." (Judges 1:19)
God allowed the iron chariot inhabitants to stay so Israel could learn war.
As for God's power, remember Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding area. Toast.

this isn't a contradiction in any respect in case you first comprehend that a million) Hebrew has no punctuation; and a couple of) the numbering gadget isn't unique to the Bible. actual, the first portion of the sentence, "the Lord changed into with Judah," should be the end of the 18th verse, and is the reason the Tribe of Judah's success: God changed into with them, giving them the skill to defete the Canaanites that lived in Zephath. the subsequent portion of verse 19 relates to Judah's later insurrection adverse to God, which led to Him to withdraw His help. The Jewish sage Jonathan ben Uzziel defined it this way: "And the note of Jehovah changed into contained in the help of the domicile of Judah, and they extirpated the inhabitants of the mountains; yet afterwards, at the same time as they SINNED, they were unable to extirpate the inhabitants of the apparent united states, by using the undeniable fact that they had chariots of iron. They were now left to their own skill, and their adversaries prevailed adverse to them."

When I read this I conclude that God wasn't with Judah at the time... whoever is telling the story believes He was but the fact says otherwise... one of the so many mistakes/inconsistencies in the OT and NT... if you want to know about God I suggest you read the Quran...

Dude, have you ever tried driving out an iron chariot?
Not as easy as it looks.
I'll bet Buddah couldn't do it either.

Iron was modern technology back then, and God can't handle that. Why do you think he hasn't made an appearance lately? He's scared of all the cars!
