As a non Muslim when I see someone with a hijab I just wonder if she's wearing it because she has to or if she really wants to. Also I wonder if she isn't stifled in there. I know I could never wear one, I can't even stand a turtle neck...

I am not a Muslim but when I see those women on a summer day packed into a train in NY I feel bad for them. It looks like a form of bondage to me, like they can never really be free, like what it feels like on an autumn NY day to walk down the street with the breeze blowing through your hair. But that is just me. They may be perfectly happy that way, I have no idea, but I do wonder what it must be like to be them.

I'm not a Muslim woman and I can only speak for myself but I judge no one by the clothes they wear.
I made that mistake once in my very early twenties and mistook a man who owned 36 sections (a section is one square mile) of land and over a million (mid 1960's) dollars in the bank for a drunken bum.
Lesson learned!

Yes and no. It just all depends on where you live. Usually in small towns where hijab is not usually worn, you may get many who will stare but only because it is not something they see everyday. Why would you care if the world judges you anyway. Someday the only one you are going to have to answer to is God Himself. He who is of the world is not of God. It is obvious that you are very worldy or it would not bother you. By the way I am a Christian. Jesus is the ONLY truth!

I'm not a Muslim woman, but I can say quite confidently that lots of people (myself not included) will judge someone just because they of what they are wearing.

I feel bad for them. Not all of them must be wearing it because they WANT to... but they HAVE to!

Yes - I can hide lots of grenades and fire arms under my clothing and people can't even recognise me.
