We should start building megachurhes inside of Wal-marts.
This way the the Fundies get to worship and shop at the same location. This is a good idea because midwestern Christians are either at a Wal-mart or at church, if we can get them to be at both at the same time, this will keep the Fundamentalist & Evangelicals occupied and out of politics.
Also, we should put a Nascar track in there, we'd never hear from them again.
This is how it would look:

So, is this a good idea?

LOL!
Loved the picture, too!
Reminds me of a Saturday Night Live skit that I thought was funny where a couple of girls working at wal-mart stand around talking about how HUGE wal-mart is..."I KNOW! I KNOW! This Wal-mart is sooooo HUGE! I KNOW!"
...and then they talk about how Burt Reynolds actually lives in the wal-mart among other things. I have actually looked half-heartedly for it on youtube, but couldn't find it.
Us Christians love our Chick-fil-a, too...so if they'd switch the McDonald's they have in their stores with Chick-fil-a's...that'd be even better.
Soon, Wal-Mart will (in fact) have a mini urgent-care in their stores...with a doctor and or nurse practioner actually seeing patients, etc...!
Nascar was a nice touch, too...though I am not a fan. Mabye they could put the Nascar track on the roof...along with a swimming pool and some tennis courts.
:)

I think you are definately on to something, Wal-Mart would definately go for it if it would contribute to the reduction in property taxes only provided to churches right now....If we could tax the churches even a discounted amount of the millions of acres of evaded taxes, we would have enought money to feed the homeless something besides expired bread (which is donated) Funny how churches claim they give so much to the poor but they get all of their food donated...I wonder in what other ways they give? Maybe give the minister a new Mercedes?

Actually, that's not a bad idea. But first you'll have to get around the whole proscription against selling in a church. Also, for safety's sake, the Nascar track should go on the outside of the church.

It staggers the imagination that one such as you is permitted access to outlets of communication in which your inanity can be viewed by others and considered worthwhile even in passing.
What exactly did you hope to accomplish with this?
Was there actually a reasonable motive, or were you just seizing an opportunity to cast aspersions at those with religious convictions, knowing full-well that you will be among the first to scream from the rooftops if someone of faith dares to make a negative suggestion about your values?
Grow up.
And I'm not offended, Humbert. Just annoyed. I'll stay on the internet as I please, boy.

Personally, no it isn't funny, nor a good idea. It will demean the "honor that we owe our God,'' and we wouldn't be showing respect to God, only to some of the things that God says are spiritual traps mentioned in 2Tim.3:1-5. (lovers of themselves rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power, having more love for pleasure rather than for God, lovers of money, headstrong, puffed up with pride." I don't see where a church, walmart, nascar could all bring honour to God! Unless they are kept in their proper places, and that certainly isn't in a church. Jesus told us to "go preaching from door to door," how would we be doing that if we mixed it with this kind of pleasure(Nascar) and money seekers. (Walmart) Who do you think would get the most attention? I don't think it would be God.
