I've taken notice that the majority of answers given that open express Christian faith may at times receive as many as 8-10 bad ratings! I know that happens to atheist answers too, but not as much, in my observation.

Probably because so many Christians, not all but most certainly the most vocal ones, come across quite elitist in their attitude towards other people. Act as though they are know it alls and everybody else is an idiot when it comes to good vs. bad, values, etc.

There are anti-Christian sentiments all over the world, honey, they're just recently coming to light. Christians are being put in the spotlight like the Jews once were, but not (yet) to such a horrible extent. With all the attention on the Muslims with the War on Terror, it's just being made clear how much non-Christians hate Christians. Persecution of Christians has beena around since Jesus was born, and it will be around until the end of the world. Unfortunately, doing the right thing is never easy.

My observation too, there are some mean people out there, who's to even say that they are atheists for real, cos all I ever see is rude and dumb responses such as "god doesn't exist, if you had an education you'd know that", etc. It doesn't matter to me though. I'm cool with what I believe and don't force it on anyone else.

Not to wear the point out, but I think it is a microcosm of how society feels as a whole. A lot of people are just wore out with this judeo-christian stuff. Most of it does not make sense, some of it is not recorded in any actual history (anywhere), and a lot of it isn't even true. There is another whole ethic tradition that predates the judeo-chritain thing by thousands of years, and it makes so much more sense when it is understood.

Because most Christian answers involve cutting and pasting from the bible and over extensively using God as an excuse for everything that happens.

While that might be what they truly believe, it is not really much of a well reasoned answer and proves nothing other than that they refuse to think for themselves. You know, outside the box...

R&S involves ALL forms of religion & spirituality.

MEANING all the Fundy Gits who attack the non-Xians here - tend to set themselves and other Xians up for ridicule.

Besides I've seen far more Atheists, Islamic, Pagan bashing than I see Xian bashing.

I will let the Word of God answer this. 1John 4:5-6; They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them; We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.
1Corinthians 2:12-14; Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him and he cannot understand them; because they are spiritually appraised.

Sure, but compare the answers:
- an athiests answer: we have evidence such as blah blah blah....
- a Christian's answer: God said so.

Can you really blame athiests for being frustrated?
