i am a doctor. Through my work in a large city i noticed thant many people are coming to take vitamin B12 injections all have the symptoms of sleepiness weakness diffucult concentration memory troubles and depression they improved on vitamin B12 injections there diet is rich in vitamin B12 but there lab test for B12 level is under or near the normal level i woundered and have no answer why we have this epidemic of B12 difficiency in our city have any body knows why this is happening . Has any one experience vitamin B12 difficiency epidemic ? all doctors and people are invited to answer.

Are you seriously a doctor? If English isn't your first language, then I understand. I've never seen a run-on sentence with 84 words before, sheesh!!

Well, one obvious way to think about it is: if their diet is rich in B12, but they have low levels, then they must not be absorbing it from their diet. So that means either they are not getting something that will help them to absorb it properly (such as Vitamin D helps the absorption of calcium), or they are getting something that blocks its absorption.

I know that my sister was getting B12 shots to try and lose weight. It didn't work out for her though. But I am not sure what B12 does for you.
