HELP! info about - Naval Station (NAVSTA), San Diego?

Question

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how far away Naval Station NAVSTA is from the airport?

Any hotels/motels nearby the military base?

doesn't take more than 45 minutes to get anywhere in San Diego (plus traffic and rush hour of course)

Day Or Night You Can Get Free Transport From The Command Duty Officer Just By Calling The Number On Your Orders If Your Command Is In Port If Your In The Navy. The Base Is About Ten Miles From The Airport Driving Wise Anyway. There Are Alot Of Hotels Around That Base But Alot Are Of The About One Star At Best! There Is A Navy Lodge On The Air Base Across The Harbor There Is Also One Across The Parkin Area Of The Exchange Pretty Nice Actually. There Is One Motel By The Exchange Off Base But It's Only Like A Half Mile From The Main Gate. Best Thing To Do If Your Planning A Trip To See A Family Member Is To Look Up The Base Online And Look For Hotel Motel By It. there are butt tons of hotels near the base, including two Navy Lodges. the airport is less than an hour away from 32nd Street.

If you are on orders and flying in, the USO has transportation to the base during the day.
