according to wikipedia intelligence is defined as
"Intelligence is a property of mind that encompasses many related abilities, such as the capacities to reason, to plan, to solve problems, to think abstractly, to comprehend ideas, to use language, and to learn. There are several ways to define intelligence. In some cases, intelligence may include traits such as: creativity, personality, character, knowledge, or wisdom."

They're ashamed of worshiping a sadistic, immoral, killer God who drowned, plagued, and slaughtered millions (more than Hitler), conspired to have his own kid beaten and executed, and who repeatedly commands his followers to kill other people. They think if they con others into joining them, then they won't seem so messed up.

As others have said, a lot of Christians do believe in science. There's no logical reason to believe Christians are less intelligent than atheists, agnostics or anyone who believes in another god. Science really isn't much different than a religion as both are based on beliefs, theories and evidence. A scientist can say that the world was created after the "Big Bang" but he cannot prove it, and not all scientists support the "Big Bang" as it is just a theory. The same thing applies to a Christian. He has beliefs that he cannot prove, but that does not mean he is wrong or stupid. Science cannot prove or disprove the existence of a creator, religion cannot prove the existence of a god, except to those who believe. There are a lot of questions we may never know the answer to but both religion and science can give us some possible solutions.

Maybe you feel them Christians are less intelligence just because they don't agree with some of the things in science i.e. evolution etc. But my friend, they keep on telling you about their beliefs because they want to share with you the truth or the Good News about hope for mankind. What if really there is a loving God out there ? Should we just keep quiet and not tell others ? How do I know there is a God ? You never see animals worshiping other things to protect them, not even the apes ... But even the very remote tribesman believes in spiritual things. It is this modern world that someone (we call the Devil) that tries to remove the idea of spirituality so that we eventually will be like the animals ...

I don't think science can prove which came first, the chicken or the egg. It takes an intelligent person to listen and view things from all perspective before making an ignorant and generalized statement like Christians are less intelligent. Just because we know that science can't explain what makes the heart beat and what gives the body the will to live. Let science explain that!

Good Luck and God Bless!

Unfortunately for us, it is a dogmatic command that they go out into the byways and hedges and compel others to join. Why, I don't know. I have to assume it is because they want us to be as bored as they are. Truly, though if that belief structure were all that great they wouldn't have to compel anyone to join. In olden times adherents to these types of cults used to physically flagalate themselves with small whips and such because of their sinfulness. Now it is done emotionally, and believing you are totally unworthy is only a small part of the strucutre. The other thing is that they apparently believe that society as a whole will be better after it is homogenized into one belief structure. I personally like some diversity and see this as unconstructive. Religious freedom, what does it really mean?

Okay let's deal with your first question,
why do Christians want others to accept christ as their saviour?
This would be because they are taught that you, for not believing, will burn in hell-They want to "save" you from that.

Second subject,
Anyone who forces a belief onto another person is just as non-intelligent as the person who is intolerant of others beliefs.
Christianity does not have to go against science, and only extreme examples do. Most Christians have embraced scientific discoveries, and many people who believe in God were intelligent men like Einstein

Because we love you.

Now, seriously, how can you sit there typing this and say all of us are not as smart as you. Where is the logic in that. I don't have the time right now, but there are many scientist who are Christian who use logic better then you, if your question is how you normally think.

The biggest problem today is all the people who paint with a broad brush, thinking that one or two people make up the whole consensus. Logic does support individuality. Should I now assume, because of you, that all non-Christians who believe in science lack the logic that they are trying to promote?

I'm sorry for that. I'm a Catholic Christian. Those Christians you're referring to were just thinking they're saving your soul. But I hope they aren't doing that rudely to you because I do believe that conversion must be of free will. Jesus Christ did not push His disciples to believe in Him and to follow Him.

But I have to correct your statement that we Christians don't believe in science. I'm a devout Catholic but this did not stop me from loving Chemistry and Physics. The School Director and the Guidance Counselor of our High School (a Catholic Private School) were Priest and nun and they encouraged me to take a Chemistry course after graduation. I also know a Catholic Priest who is an Engineer and a devout Catholic teacher who is also a Physicist.

Christian's believe that none believers aren't going to be heaven without accepting Jesus as their savior. It's part of being a Christian. They just want you to be saved . Some can get out of hand, but people won't accept anything unless they want to and that's why they are so persistant, they want don't want to mis their chance.

I'm a Christian, but I don't push my beliefs on anyone. Not even God will do that. If however, someone asks me something about the Bible, I will answer them to the best of my knowledge. But to come to God, one must do so willingly, of their own choice.
