The need for an afterlife is like a craving. It forces people to wrap themselves so tightly in a cocoon of ignorance they refuse to even consider logic. Could it be a genetic condition passes on through eveloution when man came down out of the trees and split from our former animal ancestors. Other beast don't seem to have this genetic disorder. It seems to be that other beast just see death as the end and pay it little mind. What is your take on Death being the end.

How many animals did you ask, outside of the humans, about their views on death? How many of them responded, and in what language? It seems that logic in this instance is what is in a cocoon.

If you wish to believe that life is like a light bulb, lit until one day it burns out, only to be thrown away into the city dump, then go for it. I think I will side with the ignorant people who feel that there may be more to life after death then the dump.

You state that other beasts dont have the need to desire an afterlife. I didnt realize other beasts even had the intelligence to comprehend the concept of an afterlife.
That part of it kind of makes your argument a little silly. You might want to take it out.

And other beasts dont pay death little mind? They fight like crazy to survive and have adapted many survival tactics.

If other beasts dont believe in an afterlife and we evolved from them then how is it a genetic condition passed on from evolution?

Your logic just doesnt make much sense.

I don't know, have you ever watched a gazelle run from a lion?

He sees death coming and is like "Hell no, motherf*cker!"

A very, VERY strong desire to live is a favorable genetic trait in any animal, so across the entire span of evolution it has been positively selected for. I think that's a good argument for why death is the #1 fear of anything living, and a good reason why belief in the afterlife occurs.

It's just the overspill of an acutely-honed desire to stay alive.

It is actually the desire of the ego, or self, to live forever. I am not sure, because I haven't died yet, but I doubt that the self servives the death experience. In fact, I would more likely assume that the part of us that is our essence returns to the whole. Don't ask me to explain, I already said I haven't died yet. Just a conclusion I have come to from my studies.

I think only the people who are at peace with what God has been for them and to them look forward to an after life. The people who don't appreciate and dislike thier life here don't look forward to anything that God has to offer in after life.

Good luck and God Bless!

People who have faith in Jesus, have no fear of death. They know that when they die,The savior will come to take them with him.

I'm not afraid of death, or it being the end. I didn't miss not having a pre-life, nor will I miss not having an after-life. Life is more precious when it's finite.
