The COT is gaining popularity every race it has.Sure there are things that we don't like but these are things we have to get use to.
The strides and improvements have been many sicie the first COT race.Even at Talladega there was some improvement, and as teams get use to these vehicles there will be more improvements.
My only problem is the rear wing, that has to be redefined.

Good answers so far. I am going with the popular vote and that is if they are rally going to use it then use it all the time. I think the team engineers will find a way to get things right.
As far as the wing and the block of wood I really don't see where putting the wing up another 6 inches would hurt. There was a Q not long ago about bringing back the spuerbird wing but I am not sure they could make them stable enough and probably the cost of that would be out of this world.
I agree with them all. I was very disappointed with Talladega. What a shame to waste my afternoon watching that. I live for the Talladega and Daytona races.
The chase needs to be dumped first of all but, could you imagine the reaction of the fans when there star doesn't make the race because they switched 1/2 way through the season and they fell out of the top what ever and didn't make this dumb chase thing.
All season or none of it.

I think the COT is a good way to even out the field. This year some of the teams got their car package down while others are still working on it, but don't worry they will. It is like everything else, it just takes some time for people to get used to a new idea and for the bugs to get worked out. I still don't like this stupid chase, I believe the champ should be decided over their performance over the entire season and not just the last 10 races. I also don't approve of this guarantee for the top 35 starting position, Way bother with qualifying at all. They should line up according to they qualifying time, if you don't qualify in the top 43 then go home. No one should be given a free ride.

To start with, I'm not a CoT fan. The only thing that I do like
about them, is that it is a safer car to drive. But it is in
every body's, except the fans, best interest to run the CoT full
season next year. It has to be tough and expensive for
NASCAR and the teams to have to set up 2 completely
different cars on different weekends. And with the old cars,
they have 4 different cars, depending on the type of track
that they run on. Also, whether we like it or not, CoT is here
to stay. That is until NASCAR comes up with something
they like better.

The CoT performed well on the short tracks and the road courses, but we haven't seen them yet on the intermediate tracks. In my opinion, it was a dissappointment at Talladega, but I think the NASCAR engineers will figure out a way to tweak it to make it better for that.
Remember, part of the reason for the CoT was to even out the field. Using one car for all the races, from short track to road course to superspeedway saves the underdog teams a lot of money, and will help them become more competitive.

I like the COT cars, it's something different, I think it will be a tighter race Remember safety comes first , like I said before "we don't want to loose another great driver"

I think the concept of the COT is good for the safety reasons alone. They need to work on the problem they have with the decreased vision though.

Nah,the money they've already put into the development of this car, they might as well run it like they said they were !!
The only problem I can see so far,is maybe, putting some wooden block's underneath the seat to raise the driver up a little,so he can see out the back winder a lil' better 10-4???

I just don't like the new cars. I think we will be in for some boring racing next year.
