he wants to reunite for over a year now, but i dont know what is behind the reason he mentioned to my daughter who is a young teen.,....in a letter he wrote "secretly" to her it said he wants to take her places but he cant right now because mom wont allow it but that is the way it has to be right now. (end of quote) and my question is why did he want to take her alone somewhere out of all my other kids and including me? he says let it go but i cant and will not reunite until that is clear in my head.
what do you think? been there anyone? if not then at least i got this off my chest.

Do you know for sure she didn't write him a "secret" letter requesting he take her places & saying how much she missed him? It is possible he was just trying to be a good father figure?
It's not that I'm discounting that you should be concerned, it's just a fairly minor incident to damn the man over - it's a pretty huge accusation to say someone's a paedophile and, unless you are sure, it will ruin his life.
However, if you are sure - or just can't shake the feeling that something's not right - trust your instincts as if you don't it could ruin your daughters life.

This guy is a pedophile who preys on young teens. The only reason a guy writes a letter like that is so he can take her away somewhere for sex. Hopefully your daughter was not having a sexual or romantic relationship with him, especially while he was dating you! Even if he was sending this letter to an adult female who was not related to you, he was trying to cheat on you.
Do not take him back. As a matter of fact, I would take that letter to the police if I were you. Who knows what other teens he is writing letters like this to. This is never an acceptable practice for any adult male to do. If you take him back you are putting not only your teen daugher at risk of being sexually molested by him, but you are also putting your other children in danger of being molested as well.
Again (if you didn't get it yet) THIS GUY IS A PEDOPHILE!!! HE WAS TRYING TO GET YOUR DAUGHTER TO GO SOMEWHERE ALONE WITH HIM SO HE COULD HAVE SEX WITH HER!!! DO NOT TAKE HIM BACK!!! REPORT HIM TO THE POLICE!!!

I think the letter was a sorta promise that he wants to be a good dad, regardless of how many other kids you have. Remember that the letter was secret, so how do you know he didnt tell the others the same in some other way. Or maybe he felt that he needed to work on his relationship with this 1 child and has a good relationship with the other kids. ..Thats 3
I also think that this could be the best thing if you give him a chance to prove himself before being pesimistic.. 4

If your intuition is telling you something, follow through with it. Ask him about what he meant. I don't care if the letter was meant to be "private" tell him your daughter shared it with you and you wanted to know. Don't be afraid to ask; when it comes to your kids, its better safe than sorry.
