Most people think of their most lovable things or person at the time of death because they are very attached to it. And the others who are fear from the death they can't think anything other than the fear of death itself.

Someone above has already answered...that it greatly depends on how you die.

If you die a painful death like an accident, you probably wouldn't have time to think of anything else.

Even during sudden death, there is no chance to have such thoughts.

May be if you know that you are going to death, the thought might be "finally I can rest in peace" or " I am meeting God" or " I am sad to leave you behind".

Death , more often an unscheduled caller and an uninvited guest, knocks at our door all of a sudden, and believe me,before we tend to answer his call and open the door for him--we have a little or no time left to have any thinking whatsoever.

They think nothing as they are going to merge wiht nothing and and end up as an unmanifest beig in the end .since they had nothing in mind while coming , they shall have nothg in mind while going ..lest they shall be charged of the offence of stealin gsome memory that does no belong to them.No oneis qualified to go if he /she has the slightest memory of anything , the only qualification for passing out is loss of concsciousness fully and perfectly .the stage of SAMADHI.

My mother was at the nursing home with her mother who had cancer and mother said suddenly her mothers eyes got bright as she was looking up.as she lay there on the bed. she smiled.raised her hands up and cried out Jesus and passed on.i have never know anyone who was afraid to die except one .a preacher neighbour.which surprised me that he would be afraid.
all my people knew where they were going.when my beloved Christian grandfather was dieing though he said i hope i was right.
that reminds me of some unusual last words. one was of a man about to be Hung form the gallows and he walked up and stepped on the trap door and asked,. Is This safe?
and a doctor was feeling his pulse and his last words were Stopped
as the Cherokee say. today is a good day to die if its that day.

They are thirsty and ask for water. They are confused and ask if they are going to die. So many people react differently. Some don't have a chance to think about it.

I don't know as I have no personal and previous experience.Some people say that you see your whole life as if a film if being played to you.Why?It's another unknown aspect.

What's happening? That is the thought. Because it is a experience they never had before. That is my answer as to why.
