if you find a way to boot a home made cd.... you could use "Simple Media System"... it plays MP3s, AVI encoded with XviD and DivX...
you can use uLaunchELF as boot for your disk...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Making PS2 Bootable DISK With Nero Burning ROM
PS2 Bootable CD's Must Be:
- No MultiSession
- File Name Lenght: ISO Level2 (Max 31 Characters)
- Format: Mode2/XA
- Character Set: ISO 9660(Standard ISO CD-ROM)
- Joliet / No Joliet
- Disc-At-Once
- Dummy file may be required (Recomanded 100Mb)
The file "SYSTEM.CNF" should look like:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\XXXXXXXX.ELF;1
VER = 1.1
VMODE = NTSC
OR
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\XXXXXXXX.ELF;1
VER = 1.1
VMODE = PAL
Where "XXXXXXXX.ELF" is a PS2 App like uLaunchELF v4.12
copy "SYSTEM,CNF" from a game that you own, and then edit it in notepad
