She wants to be, but she isn't yet, is she? I wouldn't worry about it, unless she's cooking for you. They'll make her wash up when she gets to work.

I have a roommate who is a nurse. The place was sooooo dirty when I moved in. When she washes dishes she kind of just waves soap and water at them and gives a little rinse and calls it good. Just because someone has the knowledge and education does not mean they follow through with it in their personal lives.

O..K... Time for her to return to "Basic Hygiene and Manners 101"! If you've noticed, perhaps you can tell her about it privately? How close are you as roommates or friends? That may also dictate how she'll react when you tell her. But, it's for her own good. FYI, most hospitals and doctor's offices now have signs telling ALL employees that they MUST ALWAYS wash their hands before leaving the restrooms.

Then be sure to never go to her when you need taken care of.
When she goes to nursing school she'll learn to wash her hands, I promise you.

frankly most nurses I've known are screwed up weirdos (no offence normal nurses). A lot of them smoke too which I find soooo ironic.

If your roommate is a friend too, i imagine she'd expect you to tell her if she does something that upsets you. i know i would. its not what you say, its how you say it. if you show her that you actually care about her and you say it kindly enough its likely that she will take it well. but if you get all self-righteous and tell her you're telling her 'for her own good' she might think you're getting high and mighty.
just......my thoughts.
