Every Halloween they have a tour of "haunted houses" and tell stories about them here. Is it possible that the whole town could be haunted? Things happen to me here that don't happen other places.. other towns..esp other states. I've gotten to where I have to ignore it.

old mining towns are supposed to be great places for hauntings. George Town colorado is said to have a haunting in every building. As does Central city colorado. I have investigated many old towns around here in Co. lots of history here with many sudden and violent deaths.

Once again TR spouts off without any truth behind the statements. There is a LOT of credible evidence regarding ghosts and spirits. While you may choose to ignore it or call it not credible, that is a personal choice and does not change the fact that the evidence still exists. You can disbelieve all you want but until you can positively, with 100% accuracy, explain all of the anomylous photos, videos and EVP that has been captured, that evidence will still be there mocking you. As an aside, if you could discredit all of just the photographs you would be doing something that photographic experts and film companies have been unable to do in the last 100+ years.

Now, to the question. There are several towns that are considered haunted. This usually refers to a large number of locations in the town having paranormal activity and not literally every home and street. Here is a link to a page that lists the most famous haunted locations by state. http://theshadowlands.net/places/

There is no scientific methodology which can be used to see if a house tests positive for haunting or not. In fact, there is no credible scientific evidence for ghosts or hauntings to begin with, though gullible misinformed people and those wanting to justify their ghost hunting activities may tell you otherwise. Maybe asking in Mythology & Folklore will result in an answer you're looking for.

The only way to tell is to go into the house and feel it. But signs of spiritual activity can be very easily dismissed. Lights going on and off. Things disappearing and reappearing somewhere else. An isolated icy cold spot in a room (icy like snow icy and as isolated as it being on your hand but not your entire arm). Hairs on the backs of your neck or arms stand on end, and you get that eerie feeling that you're being watched by something you can't see. You feel someone stroking your hair (or your arm or other part of your body). You see little balls of light floating around. Ever see what looks like sparkley light in the air? things like that.

Wow, you sure ask a lot of questions about a lot of absolute crap. Do you know why this section is called 'alternative'? Because it's an 'alternative' to reality and rational thinking. Time to wake up, smell that coffee, get a clue and a life. Not necessarily in that order.

York is supposed to be the most "haunted" City in the Country (UK). Every pub you go into and ask about ghosts, the staff will tell you they have one - unfortunately it seems they only come out on November 31st, or after your 8th pint!

The idea of a haunted town is very silly.Even for this site.I imagine it would be very easy to tell.If it were possible.

There is no such thing as a haunted town, only haunted people.

Every place has hauntings. i would not put any stock in to the fact that it is Halloween, places are no more haunted on that day than any other (exept for if it fell on a New or Full Moon)................Tell us what it is that you have to ignore????
